Will the Real Trix Rabbit Please Stand Up?
General Mills recently ran a contest to find the Real Trix Rabbit. As soon as mom learned about the contest, she asked if I want to submit my picture. Without having to think about it, I told her, “Absolutely!”
After reading the contest rules, mom decided to have a photo shoot. She’s taken many pictures of me over the years but for the contest, she wanted to create something that would stand out among the hundreds (maybe even thousands!) of submissions.
Mom build the set by using a red sheet, green letters made of felt, and a bowl of fruit. Since General Mills is moving away from artificial flavors and colors, we thought that fruit would be a clever way to communicate the naturalness of the new Trix. We only used fruits that represent the Trix flavors — grapes, raspberries, lemons, and oranges. Check out the set!
Since this was my first photo shoot, Mom was nervous that I wouldn’t like the flashing lights but guess what? The lights didn’t bother me at all because I was born to be a star! Here are some of the out takes from the photo shoot:
In the end, we decided to submit the picture below. We took the best of two worlds — my naturally inquisitive face and my curiosity on the set — and merged them into a single photo. We hope (*paws crossed*) to be selected for the final round but even if we’re not, we sure had fun with this creative project!
UPDATE: After enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with my humans, I received “bunderful” news!
I am a finalist in the Trix contest! I’m working on my final submission but in the meantime, here are a few more photos from an outdoor photo shoot. Enjoy!
